Lucky lady

As soon as school finished I went up to the Lake District for a night but when Daniel suggested he get the train up and join me, I stayed for another four. It was really nice to get away and relax and sleep and sleep some more (I slept twelve hours each night!). I have drawing to share this week, but for now here's a picture of all the thoughtful gifts I recieved on my birthday (which I can not believe was two weeks ago). I have really kind friends and family. I'm a lucky lady.

twenty nine

Yesterday was my twenty ninth birthday. I got up early before work and made blueberry pancakes. After work I went to a karaoke bar and drank cocktails with a friend (Daniel had to work). It was the first time I'd done karaoke. Being shut in a sound proof booth is the only time I should sing! When I got home Daniel gave me this amazing giant card which he made. Isn't it brilliant?!

At the weekend

I have just had the best weekend I've had in a long time. I didn't have any homework to do. My course has finished! I am now a Newly Qualified Teacher. I can relax. Genuinely relax. I now have a job as a nursery teacher in a school. I'm working till we finish for summer. In two weeks I have six whole weeks of relaxing and enjoying. I think the last time I had a free summer I was 21. Right now I am one lucky lady. I'm hoping I'll get back into the swing of blogging again soon and start sending postcards out again. I hope you are also feeling excited by summer and the daydreams it brings. See you soon!
