I think I'd better explain myself

I love everything about the project, walking round noticing things, drawing, posting to people I do and don't know, reading your wonderful comments and the fact that my Mum looks each day to see what I've been up to. But another side to the project is that I work full time in London and like most people I can often feel pretty busy. I draw the postcards each day, often quite quickly and sometimes the next day, trying to remember the previous day. I only sit down every couple of weeks to write all the addresses & messages on the back and even less often do I take the trip to the post office on a Saturday morning to buy stamps for all the different countries. Why am i telling you this? Because I feel that if you are going to be nice enough to take a look at my drawings each day then I should explain why days might go by without any drawings on this blog or why your postcard hasn't arrived in the post yet! I'm leaving work early today to go to the post office and I'll be posting all the drawings from the 4th and 8th to 26th February. Thank you for understanding and I hope that when the postcards arrive they are worth the wait. Let me know what you see this weekend. Start your comment with TODAY I SAW........

Today I Saw Flickr Group

Today I'm unable to take a photo of yesterdays postcard. Daniel has borrowed my camera for the day and so there will be two postcards shown tomorrow. But it would be nice to share something I have been planning. I've started a Today I Saw group on flickr. I would really enjoy seeing any Today I Saw postcards which you have made yourselves. This project is a very simple idea so I don't mind people making their own. I figure, if sending a drawing to a friend of your's makes their day a nicer one, then it's well worth it and you should do it.

Below are some Today I Saw's by Susan, she wrote me a lovely email to let me know about them. To which I promptly replied and asked her to put them on the flickr group. Aren't they lovely? So I ask you to get drawing, get photographing, get mailing and get on flickr to show me.

P.S I've been thinking of organising a Today I Saw exchange..............we'll see : )

I love recieving mail, don't you.......?

Thank you for all your comments over the weekend. If you haven't already taken a look at what others wrote, then it's well worth it. Such a mix of unusual things. I seem to be at the end of my list of addresses. Which means I don't have anyone to send my postcards to. If you want one then just email me your name and address and I'll make a list of the first 30 addresses I get. I haven't taken note of any addresses which I have been sent between the last mailing and this one so please resend me your address. If you've already got a postcard then maybe suggest someone else who might like to recieve one. Make sure that if you email me you include you name and your address - very important when sending mail : ) It's much nicer for me to send my drawings to people who really appreciate them. Thanks for always stopping by to take a look. Jill x
update: I now have 30 names and addresses!

I'm back, apologies for a little pause. All I can say is it's been pretty hectic round here, hence the slightly odd choices of drawings for the week. A funny mix. Also, if you haven't received a postcard from me and you are expecting one, it's not because it's lost in the British postal system, more like lost in the bottom of my bag (busted). I'll pop them all in the post ASAP.
